The income of  #IPL (Indian Premier League)

Have you ever wondered that how can an IPL part of a giant BCCI ( Board of Control for Cricket in India) do spend crores of rupees in a Sport of cricket and where did it come from?

Here are some Income details of IPL from its first season(2008) to the current season(2020)
and it's overall Income

 Total Brand value details:-

The total brand value of IPL is "47,500Cr "Indian rupees

it had started in 2008 and running till now(2020)

approximately it earns" 3,700Cr  "Indian  Rupees

Broadcast services:-

At first, the services were taken up by the " SETMAX " channel for a whopping amount of "8,200cr "Indian Rupees for the Agreement of  " 10yrs " in 2008.

From that time the subscription of " SETMAX " channel had touched the sky. Before IPL the Advertisement cost for  "5-10sec" was 5K-10K. After that, during IPL time it had more viewership is so high so the cost  blown up to 5L-20L for 5-10Sec ADs

Then in 2018 IPL broadcast had been sold to "Star Sports" Network For 5yrs contract, from BCCI at a cost of "16,347Cr

By calculating the above prices and cost given, At every match when a ball is bowled

                                                           1Ball bowled = 23Lakhs
                                                           1Match          = 53Cr

So the Star Sports Network takes up to "12.5L" for every 5-10Sec ADs. So by running ads "Star Sports" Network earn an Amount of "80-90Cr" Income for Every Match Shown on TV

Title Sponsorship:-

The IPL will also get Income From the Title Sponsorship amount for placing Brand Name before the IPL name like for 2020 IPL it is DREAM11 IPL. By placing this they will get a huge amount per year

I 2018 The VIVO had an Agreement for 5yrs, For the Title Sponsorship of Giving amount "2,199Cr". It means VIVO gives "440Cr" for every year

So due to the "INDIA and China" Border tension, VIVO had removed has Title Sponsor for 2020. Replaced By the DREAM11 for Giving Amount of " 212Cr "

Expecting Dream11 there are other sponsors like PYAYTM, TATAmotars, Amazon, CEAT, CREAD, UN-Acadamey, and Many more.

So by taking this IPL gets "20,000Cr", By calculating every year IPL gets an amount of "200Cr

And BCCI had to Pay 40% means "1,600Cr" to IPL teams. SO win or Loose for every IPL team Gets "200Cr" every year

IPL team Sponsorship:-

So For every team will get their own money by the sponsorship of title on their Team jersey, By printing on them while playing the Game

In this race hear are some top teams in the mean of the sponsorship money race

                                               Mumbai Indians  = 809Cr

                                 Chennai Super Kings = 732Cr

                                      Kolkata Knight Riders  = 630Cr

                               Royal chalangers Bangoler =  590Cr

Apart from all this, the Cricket stadium gives Tickets price and Snack tenders also

Imagine if 15,000 tickets were sold each one is 5K rs then for every match the Stadium will get 7.50Cr will get for every match and From it, BCCI will take 20%

For Every season Winners, the IPL team will get 20Cr from which 50% will distribute to every player in the Team

This year BCCI reduced the cost from 20Cr to 10Cr for winning Team
